February 2015 News Packed Links

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2015/02/05/madonna-living-for-love-video_n_6622962.html

In all fairness, I found out about Madonna's Living For Love video from this website and a free local newspaper.  I came here expecting to see the video, but ended up accessing the Lainey Gossip website and directlyricsdotcom to see Madonna's newest video.  However, this Huffington post article did at least feature coverage on what is expected in the video and original comparisons on the Give Me All Your Luvin and Girl Gone Wild videos. As with many on the site, I look forward to Madonna's new release.

Please know that my focus on this Huffington post story; Walmart Heiress' Ex Wants A Whopping $400,000 A Month, Including Money For Charitable Donations by Leigh Weingus  is independent of my own intentions for my marriage (especially because my husband is metaphorically speaking, a spiritual  influence of sunshine and a blessing in my life). My husband Rusty and I are super close and intend to stay married for life until heaven calls us home.  I just happened to have originally found out about this story from Yahoo news and Tmz less than a few days ago. Additionally, the link to this Huffington post story appeared through my yahoo news feed. Anyhow, this story regarding Walmart heiress Paige Laurie caught my attention more because I’m a current Walmart employee (at the Georgia Avenue/D.C. area location) and it is only rarely that you hear about a female having to pay alimony to her spouse.  I must be careful about what I say because of my employment status. However, without knowing the full reasons why they divorced, I’m guessing that Patrick Dubbert is obviously asking for alimony because she (Paige Laurie) was the financial breadwinner before their marital separation.  Yes, other men and women are going to naturally disagree with me (with some agreeing) pertaining to the fact that: I do still believe that Dubbert is entitled to some type of alimony. However, the amount that Dubbert gets (including the length of time he would receive such support) obviously needs to be decided privately between them, if it is true that she pulls in at least 872k a month, and influenced by how long they were married before the union was called off.  Once again, my husband and I intend to stay married to each other for the rest of our current lifetimes regardless of which one of us makes more money. We were only discussing this story because there is only occasional coverage on when wealthy women (outside of Hollywood, the entertainment industry of Los Angeles, California etc.) are called to pay their former partners alimony.

I had to share this link because I do enjoy time travel films. One reason for this is due to the conception that one can transform their life via altering certain events in the past and setting a different course for the future (in addition to looking into potential futures to transform their present and their potential upcoming reality).  This list has some quality movies.  I know that it is not on the list, but Rusty and I both enjoyed watching Hot Tub Time Machine in both an Orlando movie theater (when it was first released) and recently on dvd. Fortunately, Rusty and I both agreed to keep a look out for the second upcoming Hot Tub Time Machine movie.

These are colorful photos to add for vivid travel dreams/goals.  All of the photos  (London, Rome, Amsterdam, Paris etc.)have a strong and distinctive feature to them.
This story of communications director Benjamin Cole (who worked for Rep. Aaron Schock) has happened dramatically too soon after the Thanksgiving 2014 incident involving Hill Republican staffer Elizabeth Lauten (who was a former communications director for U.S. Rep. Steve Fincher). Granted, Public Relations/Communications Specialist Elizabeth Lauten was not accused of making racially charged comments such as the case with Benjamin Cole. However, Benjamin Cole’s comments (especially if it is true what he said regarding gentrification and race) symbolize someone who may need more experience in cultural sensitivity training as he continues to work in the Public Relations industry.  Obviously, I do not condone the comments he made comparing certain residents to zoo animals while tying it into gentrification. However, his abrasive comments are a sign that he needs to spend more time (even if just on a temporary basis) helping disadvantaged youths and/or working alongside some adults of the D.C. area (from modest financial socio-economic classes) to understand that they are doing the best they can, want success, and are determined to achieve other positive goals in life just as he does.
These are links referencing two of the people (Benjamin Cole and Elizabeth Lauten) in the above mentioned Hill Story comment

I admit that this feature caught my attention because I’m in the process of learning how to naturally be more bold. The information that their resolve sustains them was one of the tidbits that strongly resonates with me right now. I'm fortunate that my husband is super supportive, however  the resolve information and acting first regardless of challenges are two of the messages I especially need to incorporate for my spirit to take in.

My husband told me about this article. I was especially surprised by the connection between positive thinking/vision, belief can make even a placebo work, and even a trick involving changing your body shape.

Plus-Size Model Ashley Graham's Ad Will Appear in Sports Illustrated Swim Issue
Lauren TuckNews EditorFebruary 4, 2015

I'm still in the process of returning to my ideal weight. However, I admit that I found this article encouraging because the Sports Illustrated photo conveys a size 16 model (Ashley Graham)who truly believes in her inner and outer beauty, as well as carrying herself with high self-confidence (seemingly regardless of how even her most prominent detractors think).

I also saw this feature via Yahoo and Huffington Post news. I just had to start off the day with a positive story.

I admit that this link brings back happy memories because my husband and I got married over 11 years ago (as of January 22) in Las Vegas. However, we stayed at (and got married at) the Excalibur Hotel. However, the Excalibur Hotel (while a slightly different feel from these listed hotels) was also a pleasant place to stay at (for the week when we got married).

I know that I'm kind of late to the party with this link because January 1st is well past. I just had to share t and save it to my facebook wall because Rusty and I discussed about how one of our goals/dreams is to eventually go on a Viking River Cruise (however, I must keep that timeline secret for now).

This appears to be promising news for both the 18-34 year old age brackets and the 35-40 year old groups. However, I'm curious to know if the job boosts will continue to occur more in the lower cost areas or the higher cost areas (or an equal distribution regardless of rent prices, housing costs etc).

Why You Should Never, Ever Listen When Someone Says 'You Weren't Born To Do That'

This story is inspirational because it can apply to other career fields/goals as well. I also like the powerful message where Misa Kuranaga persuasively implied that a person must fight for their own goals rather than always be indirectly influenced by others projections of what they are capable of doing just because somebody may be different from the traditional prototype.

Moving Low-Income Families To Rich, White Neighborhoods Is Proven Way To End Poverty

Posted: Updated:

The heartfelt gesture extended to the woman and her children in the story is well-meaning. However, there definitely does need to be a frequent dialogue about this among not just the general public, but more often among influential politicians as well. I gently say this because the controversial issue of gentrification is also brought into focus here within the D.C. area where my husband and I currently live.

Target workers claim 'walk of shame' that allegedly led to a suicide is a widespread practice

I admit that I'm still trying to remember where I first seen this tragic story regarding this former Target worker. Obviously, it is heartbreaking all around that this man took his own life and I must refrain from judging due to my logical awareness of being a Walmart employee ( and after already commenting on a story involving Walmart heiress Paige Laurie).

I noticed what I needed to correct after already sending this link. I was implying that there is possibly too much of a conflict of interest (with being a current Walmart employee) to publicly post more of my comments on facebook regarding this story (just an intuitive feeling I get that it is okay for me to post, but to avoid adding further analysis of this story to my facebook wall).

This Weekend In Japan: Sapporo Snow Festival

I'm extremely elated to see a facebook travel link on Japan because I only have buoyant/gleeful/jocular memories of the time I was stationed there from September 2000 until October 2003 (stationed in Yokosuka Japan through the U.S. Navy).  In addition to meeting fantastic friends in Japan, I met my amazing husband Rusty there back in August 2002 ( he proposed to me August 2003, we got married January 22, 2004 and we are still married to this day). Anyhow, my husband and I both miss Japan and mutually agreed to eventually visit Japan again (this timeline I must keep secret for now too). This too cheers up my day to see Japan, and I intend to also save this link.
